General Questions

Resources are sold in both the LCG shop and the LCG on TPT shop, and the resources that are posted in both are identical. Additionally, the listed regular prices are identical. 

Purchasing here in the LCG shop offers you a couple of advantages. 

First, the LCG shop can provide you with coupon codes to offer special discounts.

Second, the LCG shop offers special school license options unavailable on the TPT platform.

Third, the LCG shop will email you when resources are updated so you always have the most up-to-date version. TPT does not offer this.  

Purchase where where you wish! Each resource in the LCG shop allows for both options.

They are written for an on-level mixed-ability high school audience. However, middle school teachers have reported success using these resources, particularly the smaller, stand-alone activity kits, with their middle schoolers. Their success cannot guarantee yours, however. 


Before purchasing, read over the included activities and preview file, as well as the supported standards, for a detailed look at the resource. If you have any questions about whether a resource will work for your particular situation, reach out through the Contact page.

Social studies standards vary so much in their focus and wording from state to state that a curriculum that addresses all states’ specific lists is impossible. 

Several high-school state content standards, as well as Common Core reading and writing standards, are consulted in the development of every resource. Standards that a resource supports are listed on its product page and within the resource file. 

While LCG resources are designed with classroom teachers in mind, they can usually be completed with little or no modifications in a single-student or small-group setting. Homeschoolers have reported great success and really enjoying the inquiry and thematic structure of LCG resources.

LCG resources are built with extensive supports included, which can be especially helpful to homeschoolers. They include

  • Extensive lesson plans, lesson takeaways, rubrics, and answer keys
  • Lecture slide decks with extensive scripts and guided notes for educational videos and podcasts
  • Movies that can be streamed online and books that can be borrowed from the library
  • Units and courses that are completely independent of a textbook; links to optional online open-source texts are included

Generally speaking, yes and yes. Student activity materials, almost without exception, come with editable digital Google file versions. Only select resources that don’t function well as digital or are not intended as student assignments may only come in non-editable print PDFs. 

Non-student-facing items within a resource, like teacher directions and answer keys, only come in non-editable PDF format.

All LCG resources are digital goods. No hard goods are shipped. 

Most resources have a main PDF file, which is non-editable and intended to be printed/copied for students. Inside the PDF are links to Google file versions of student materials intended to be assigned digitally to students and/or be customized to meet student needs. 

Some resources, like lecture kits, come as zip files containing a few different files, such as editable PowerPoint files and a PDF page with links to Google files. 

You will want to use the latest version of Adobe Reader to view and print any PDF files and a Google account to access the Google files. PowerPoint files can be easily opened in Google Slides if you do not have MS Office software. 

Due to the digital nature of these resources, there are no refunds offered. Please review the product description, FAQs, and preview closely before purchasing. You can also view any resource’s additional details and reviews that are on the LCG store on TPT

When you make a purchase, you are buying single-teacher licenses to use the resource. Sharing resources without purchasing additional licenses is against the terms of use. 

Option 1: Each teacher makes their own purchases using their own account. That way, everyone will have lifetime access to the most updated version of the resource(s) no matter where they are teaching in the future. 

Option 2: Your school makes the purchase on your team’s behalf. At checkout, click the appropriate number of licenses. An automatic 10% discount will be applied for each additional license. Your school is responsible for dispersing the files to its teachers. 

If your school purchased a resource on your behalf and you move schools, you forfeit the licensing rights to those LCG resources. 

Please reach out via the Contact page to inquire about special discounting when purchasing more than five licenses. 

No. Using any LCG resources or unique teaching strategies for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited and in violation of the terms of use agreement you make by purchasing the resource. 

Commercial purposes include, but are not limited to, endeavors like for-profit teaching, tutoring, or professional development to teachers (ex. Outschool or compensated PD workshop). This includes any free LCG resources. 

Any exceptions to this policy must be in writing from Let’s Cultivate Greatness, LLC. Reach out via the Contact page to inquire about any unique non-classroom situation you may have that isn’t described above. 

All Let’s Cultivate Greatness resources, including their ancillary files, may be used as needed for regular, non-commercial classroom use by teachers and their students

This includes printing copies and sharing digital files with students through a secure platform, like Google Classroom or Canvas, email, or a classroom-only shared drive.

The using and sharing of any part of any Let’s Cultivate Greatness resource in any manner outside the above-mentioned capacity is strictly prohibited. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to,

  • posting files on the open internet or in an online forum (ex., a Facebook group)
  • emailing files to or sharing print copies with anyone other than your current students (without purchasing additional licenses)
  • uploading or storing files in a shared cloud drive accessible by anyone other than your current students
  • including any part, or any derivative work, within any commercial endeavor like curriculum development, professional training, or for-profit teaching like Outschool, or selling this resource as your own in either print or digital formats

Doing so violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), copyright law, and these terms.

By purchasing resources from Let’s Cultivate Greatness, the original user is granted one license for a single teacher (or the number of teachers matching the number of licenses purchased) and their students at any one time. 

Of course! While every resource undergoes extensive fact-checking and content and formatting editing, errors may slip through. If you believe you’ve found one, please reach out via the Contact page so we can fix it!

Purchases and Payment

Currently, major credit card payments are accepted through Paypal or Stripe, a highly reputable secure credit processing company. Personal checks or money orders are not accepted.

Yes! Purchase orders are accepted on course bundles only.

Please use the Contact page to start the process. Once all the details of the purchase have been determined, you will receive a formal quote, which is good for 90 days. 

Next, you’ll submit your signed Purchase Order. You will receive access directions and your invoice. If paying with a credit card, you will be able to gain immediate access after you pay online. If paying by check, it must be received within 30 days of the invoice issue date. Once deposited, you’ll receive a receipt of your paid invoice.

Currently, the LCG store only sells to those within the United States. If you reside anywhere else in the world, you can purchase from the LCG store on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Keep in mind that LCG resources are written with US classroom teachers in mind. You may need to edit or modify them to work best in your location.

Many states require sales tax on digital goods. After you enter your billing address, applicable sales tax will automatically be applied. 

If your school or educational organization qualifies for a sales tax exemption, you must submit a PDF with proof of exemption prior to purchase and the email address of the person purchasing and creating the account.  The account will be marked tax-exempt so that you will not be charged sales tax when you go to purchase.

Account Support

Yes! You must have an account to purchase from the LCG shop. You’ll be prompted to create or log into your account during checkout. 


Not only does having an account allow you to review previous purchases and save your information for faster future purchases, but it also allows you to access all future updates on the resources you purchase. 

If you are an individual teacher purchasing resources, create your account using a personal email address. That way, you will have continued access to your purchases regardless of where you work, which is allowed under the terms of use. 

 

Additionally, school email systems may block important emails. If these emails do get sent to your spam folder, be sure to mark them “Not Spam” so you receive future emails. 

 

If you are a school or other organization purchasing on behalf of your teachers, you’ll want to create an account with a school district email that is not linked to any one employee. 

Double-check check your email address is correct when making your account. 

It may take a few minutes, so give it time and refresh your inbox. Also, check your spam folder. If the email ends up there, mark it “Not Spam” to avoid this issue in the future.

Head back to your My Account to verify that you entered the correct email address. If neither of those is the cause, please reach out using the Contact page. It may take 1-2 business days to resolve the issue.

These happen when you create two accounts using different email addresses or when you incorrectly enter your email address. If you believe this happened to you, please reach out using the Contact page. It may take 1-2 business days to resolve the issue.

Click “Lost Your Password” on the My Account page. ​You will be prompted to enter your email address, and then you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.  Check your spam folder. If the email ends up there, mark it “Not Spam” to avoid this issue in the future.

You will have lifetime access, which means for as long as this site is active. This also means you will have access to all future updated visions of the resources you purchased. 

However, saving a copy of the resource files is always a good idea!

Resource File Issues

Make sure you have a strong and stable internet connection. If you encounter a connection error message, refresh your browser and try again once you have reconnected.

Some resources are fairly large, especially bundles. Make sure the file has been completely downloaded first. If downloading on a school computer or network, see if your school has downloading restrictions in place. If so, you may need to download the files on a personal computer and transfer them.

A zip file allows you to download multiple files in one click, but the files inside must first be extracted by unzipping them. Both Windows and Mac OSX can unzip files without additional software. 

For Microsoft Windows, double-click on the unopened zip file. Choose “Extract All” from the menu options, then choose where to keep the files. Click “Extract.” If you see a folder named “_MACOSX” you can ignore or delete it. That appears because the files were made on a Mac and are not used by Windows. 

For Mac OSX, double-click the unopened zip file. Or, hold down the control key and click the zip file icon. Choose “Open With” and then select “Archive Utility.” The utility will extract the zip files, which you can find in the same folder where you downloaded them.

For a Chromebook, double-click on the unopened zip file. You’ll see it located in the sidebar. Open a new file manager window, browse to or create a folder for those files, and then drag everything from one window to the other. 

Since these resources are intended for use on a computer and due to the wide variety of mobile devices and file sizes, support isn’t offered for issues related to mobile devices like phones or tablets.

The vast majority of issues are solved by installing the latest version of Adobe Reader and using it to open and print PDF files. 

Do not use Chrome, any other web browser, or Preview if you are using a Mac. This is usually why people receive prompts for passwords to open or print PDF files. The PDF files have been secured, meaning advanced editing is password protected but not to open or print. 

Depending on your computer’s default settings, you may need to open Adobe Reader first, then select the resource you want to open, by clicking on “File” and then “Open.”

Very rarely, when a resource is updated, the proper securing settings may not have been re-clicked. If you encounter prompts for passwords to print while viewing within Adobe Reader, please reach out via the Contact page so we can look into it! 

For Microsoft Windows, open the PDF in Adobe Reader, click “File,” then “Print,” then “Print to PDF” or “Save to PDF.”  From there, type in the range to select pages that you can then save as a separate file.

For Mac OSX, you have to do this through Preview, not Adobe.

Except for the few 11×17 posters or widescreen lecture slide deck resources, all resources are designed for 8.5×11-inch paper. You may need to select “Fit to Page” when printing to ensure proper printing.

This can sometimes happen when you are logged into two Google accounts simultaneously. Be sure you are logged in to just one. Also, Google constantly undergoes updates and thus can have minor glitches. Clearing your cookies and trying again (even up to a day or two later) may be needed. 

Very rarely, links within the PDF don’t save properly when converting the original resource files to PDF. While effort is made to check links before posting, some slip through. If you think this is the case, please reach out via the Contact page so we can get it fixed! In your email, include the name of the whole resource (e.g., Legislative Branch Unit) and the individual activity (e.g., Legislative Branch Lecture Notes).

While efforts are made to link only to new articles, web tools, and videos from reliable and credible sources, URLs can still change, or material can be removed.

Often, doing a Google or YouTube search of the article, tool, or video name can get you to the same source.
