This workbook is available in two versions: a PDF file that’s available for instant download from the LCG website and as a print paperback through Amazon. Neither are editable.

• Analyze mentor texts for elements of argument, style, structure, and evidence
• Organize ideas and create a research plan to locate a variety of sources 
• Evaluate sources for credibility, authority, and relevance, adjusting research as needed
• Develop a unique and precise position, along with strong supporting reasons
• Build a logical organizational structure that supports the argument
• Select varied and compelling pieces of evidence to support the argument
• Develop body paragraphs with strong reasoning, word choices, and cited evidence
• Introduce a position and bring to a closure with appropriate introduction and conclusion paragraphs
• Follow a selected style guide for formatting and citing sources
• Revise to strengthen the argument and edit for grammar, clarity, and style
• Use technology tools appropriately to produce and publish writing
• Reflect on the writing process to determine growth and set goals as a writer
